Abstract

In "Isomorphy Classes of Involutions of Sp(2n,k), n>2", which was published in Volume 25 of the Journal of Lie Theory, we developed a detailed characterization of the involutions of Sp(2n,k). We used these results to classify the isomorphy classes of involutions of Sp(2n, k) where k is any field not of characteristic 2. It has become apparent that there are two similar errors in this paper that occur in some technical lemmas. We correct these errors here. These corrections preserve the results of the paper.
